My favorite character animation on Maya

This is my last project for my Maya 3D animation class and it turned out to be my favorite! It could have been fixed a little. I wanted to fix the body position so that they would be facing more to the camera instead of looking directly at each other the whole time. Anyways, it was fun to animate the facial and body expressions that accompany the dialogue.

I like drawing and rendering cars.

Heres a drawing that I did for my boyfriend last year. This is the 100,000 Audi R8. I love drawing cars. I love how the light reflects and bends on the different surfaces of the car. Im hoping to draw another car soon, I think I'm gonna draw my new car an Accord coupe 09. Its blue and its my favorite color! so it should be fun!

projects from digital illustration summer class

Wow it's been awhile since I've posted something here. I've been so busy the last few months of the semester. Just finished the last art class ever for my Bachelor degree in animation at cal state fullerton. It feels weird, I might miss going into that ugly grey building to attend my art classes. anyways here are the projects I did in corell painter for digital illustration. This was my first time every using painter, and I really like that program it has a lot of cool tools just like a traditional medium. Enjoy feel free to leave comments.

I wanted to paint and design a bakery especially a cupake bakery because I really am interested in opening a cupcake bakery later in the future.

This is my interpretation of "Where the Wild Things are" by Maurice Sendak, i changed Max into a girl and made the monsters cuter. I really like the orange monster, he pops out the most which isn't my intention so I need to redo the girl.

new illustration

I finished a new illustration for my illustration A class. the concept is to show time or an entertainment poster. I was going to do a car show poster that is why I started with the car, but then i decided to switch it to the time project so i added a speeding car behind with a clock that is also speeding with the numbers flying off. The original of the car is much nicer and I tried and tired and had no way of making the scan to look like the original. enjoy!

color pencil rendering to black canson paper

color pencil on pastel paper

I just recently finished my first project for my illustration class. and i like several of the pieces i made, the others i won't show because they are ugly so i will only show the pretty ones haha. the assignment is to incorporate two objects that are similar or opposite in different styles. So I have a horse and a tire. The horse represents old style traditional transportation and the tire represents our modern transportation, a car. Hope you like!

My First Post!

So I finally made a blog. My professors are all talking about how important it is to have one. So there you go! I have another personal website that my boyfriend is helping me create, its not done yet it's still in its preliminary stages, but I will use this for now.

My name is Anna Chang, I am a senior at Cal State Fullerton, majoring in animation. This is my last semester finally! Well, after I walk the ceremony in May, I still have to take one more class in the semester so I won't be officially done until July. After that its the real world!

Currently, I am interning at cartoon network on the show Ben 10. Its a great experience to be able to work with real artwork that goes into making a show. I have never realized how many people and work it takes to make one episode. I love the work environment it isn't just a bunch of people minding their own businesses and working in their own cubicle the whole day. Its really kick back, sometimes we play foesball or see how many push ups someone can do.

here are some samples of my artwork that i did recently in my descriptive drawing class of summer 2008
